Project name: Topographical Flower Stories

The concept
A flower show in the middle of a metropolis means that people living in an urban environment still want to feel to be connected to the nature. This garden is meant to sit, to relax and to let the imagination go to the imaginary landscape or nature.
There is intentionally designed a contrast between the more built parts and more natural parts in the garden. The natural areas are represented by the colourful meadow with perennials and grasses. The evergreen thuija hedges between the perennial plantings and the betony pavement represent the more built parts.
The topographically layered sculptures in the middle of the garden are the connection between the natural areas and more built areas.
The topographically layered wooden sculptures are the medium, stimulation to start imaging the nature outside the urban environment. It’s the awakening of our senses. It can be a journey to some positive memory or a future story.
