The old idyllic courtyard has undergone a major transformation during the yard renovation.
The steep, handsome rocks have been cleared of weeds and brought to light.
The steeply sloping yard has now been terraced with durable solid granite wall stones. The wall stones are made of local Kymenlaakso granite and the block-surfaced stones show drilling marks.
The natural rock and the local granite wall stones have the same color, but different surface treatments.
A flat terrace has been created between the buildings from Siberian larch planks. A hot tub was placed next to the terrace, which was also edged with solid granite wall stones.
In addition to the old favorite perennials, new plants were also planted in the yard. The designer played the role of a consultant in the plant selection.
