The ‘Ruokolintu’ reed shelter was chosen as the winner of the Lake Reed Construction Design Competition. The competition was organized by the Climate Responsible Environmental Construction Expertise Environment Project in collaboration with the City of Kotka Parks Department. The model of my proposal will be manufactured in a workshop during the spring and summer of 2025 and will be moved to Kotka’s Katariina Meripuisto in the summer 2025. The aim of the design competition was to find new and innovative ideas for lake reed construction.
